I took us 6 times but we finally figured out how to do it we were so excited we showed the teacher he said " keep it up. "

After that we were just playing with the mbots.
We were making it crash into each other and we were playing with the coding for the colour Hone changed it into purple and I changed into orange. Then Hone and I were helping other people with their mbot to turn around and come back and not hit the wall

Drones Used To Fight Pests

The Department of Conservation is now using new drones to help the with pest control.
The drones will cost about 790,000 dollars and it is the key step to making New Zealand into a pest free country by 2050. Drones have the opportunity to remove pest from remote offshore islands. Drones have not be used in New Zealand before.

The new drones will be equipped with new light and a weight bait spreader to apply non toxic cereal baits over areas between 600 to 2,000.

Control Tech Week 4

When we went to tech our teacher Mr Swinten sent us a link and we had to put it in the Robo folder after we had done that we got straight into controlling the mbots.

I was working on how to control the mbots  for example we had to make the mbots go in a square without hitting the edges you might think it's easy but it's actually very hard because you have to get the instructions perfectly so the mbots know what to do.

It took me a couple of time but I finally got I showed the teacher and he said good job. He said to me changed the led lights I changed it to green because I like green and after that he said I could go and play some code.org .

Setting Up The Traps

Image result for pestLast week Friday Frazer the person we went to Hamlin's Hill with, came back and gave us amazing gifts like a tunnel, chew cards and more. After that he gave us all jobs to do there. There was the people with gloves, the people with hammers, the people with the tunnel, the people with foot prints, the people with the chew cards, and the people with peanut butter.

My job was the peanut butter but it was changed to foot prints. We went to set up the trap at the back of the school. The hammer people were nailing the chew cards on a tree and the tunnel people put down the tunnel and I put the foot prints inside it.
After that the bell rang. We went back to class and all of us went out to play but me, Kate, Aqueer, Winne, and Sunipa had to help take Frazer stuff back to his car. After that we went and played.

In the slide some words were highlighted that means we had to search up the word and right the meaning of it. I did half of them and some of the people in my class were playing strategy game like code.org.

I got tired of finding the meaning so I went and played angry bird game that look like this.

The Trip to Hamlin's Hill

Last week Friday we went on a school trip to Hamlin's Hill. We had this person named Frazier come in and talked about traps and pests. He showed us a dead stoat, toy hedgehog and some other pests and he showed us some traps. This trap called A-24 it is more efficient and more advanced than the other traps.

After he explained about the trip he told us that we were going to meet up at Hamlin's Hill.
When we got there he told us to get in pairs. My partner was Sunipa. Frazier gave us one binoculars for two people to share because he didn't have enough binoculars.  We cleaned our shoes we saw a dead rabbit and we looked at it with or binoculars. After we reached the top of the hill we had our lunch and looked at the wonderful.

We were going back home but we didn't now where we were going that's why we went in circle but finally we found a way out of the hill we washed our shoes and we went back to school.
