Wharepuni:
Differences: Thatched roof, Walls made of timber

My House: is made out of wood and the roofs are made out of brick

Similarities: It is a place for shelter, It is a place for sleep

For this summer learning journey activity I had to watch a waka ama race video, then write on my blog if I want to be in a waka ama race one day, why or why not? I would like to be in a waka ama race because I would like to go fast in a boat.

For this summer learning journey activity I had to imagine I was in a waka heading off to New Zealand and imagine writing a letter to a friend about I would be feeling.

Letter: Hi Frank I am really nervous. The people around have lots of tattoos. I am scared because I am worried about my health. I have not eaten or drank anything ever since we got inside the waka. Hopefully I make it out alive.
